Jean-Claude is a legendary figure in the watchmaking industry, with over 50 years of experience. He is known for revitalizing iconic Swiss brands such as Blancpain, Omega, Hublot, and TAG Heuer. A passionate defender of tradition, he played a decisive role in saving mechanical watchmaking during the Quartz Crisis. With a visionary approach and bold marketing, he helped shape the landscape of modern luxury horology. In 2023, he launched his own brand, Biver Watches, alongside his son Pierre, marking a new chapter in his exceptional career.

Pierre offers a modern take on traditional watchmaking. Immersed in horology from a young age, he has developed a deep understanding of its techniques, craftsmanship, and culture. With a background in vintage timepieces under the mentorship of James Marks at Phillips, Pierre brings sharp insight and a refined eye to the brand. He leads product creation at Biver, constantly exploring new ideas to drive the brand forward. His passion for historical timepieces is matched by his drive to innovate. Working alongside his father, Jean-Claude, and CEO James Marks, Pierre plays a key role in shaping the brand’s creative and strategic direction.

James, appointed CEO of Biver Watches in August 2024, is a longtime friend of the Biver family and a respected figure in the watch industry. He brings a rare mix of financial expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for horology. After a successful career in finance—both within Investment Banking and Wealth Management —he joined Phillips in 2018. As Deputy Chairman and International Head of Perpetual, he helped shape global strategy, achieved world-record auction results, and led innovation across both physical and digital platforms. His deep knowledge of vintage timepieces, the collectors’ market and brand building is invaluable to Biver. Today, he guides the brand’s strategic vision alongside Mr. Biver and Pierre, reinforcing the atelier’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Nolan is the Chief Marketing Officer at Biver. He studied filmmaking in London and began his career directing documentaries on sports and the arts, with work featured at major festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival. An award-winning filmmaker, his focus has always been on powerful, emotionally driven storytelling. Nolan later moved into the luxury industry, creating advertising and branded content for high-end brands. At LVMH, he led global content production for TAG Heuer before founding his own creative agency. In 2022, he began working with Biver, helping shape the brand’s identity and digital strategy before joining in-house to lead global marketing and communications.

Filipe Espirito Santo is a dynamic professional with a rich multicultural background that has shaped his unique perspective. Growing up in Switzerland, he embraced the diversity around him and mastered five languages. His academic journey led him to London, where he studied finance, setting the stage for his diverse career. Throughout his professional life, Filipe has taken on strategic roles with renowned brands like Tag Heuer and Tudor. Here, he refined his skills in brand management and product development. Additionally, his ventures into the real estate markets of Geneva and Dubai further showcased his adaptability and innovative spirit. Now, as the Brand Director for Biver Watches in Asia, Filipe excels in navigating the complex market dynamics. He draws upon his extensive industry knowledge and leadership skills to drive growth and expansion is this crucial market. His mission is to enhance Biver Watches’ presence across Asia, fueled by his passion for excellence and success.

Ilaria began her career in the watch industry over 11 years ago in London, managing iconic brands such as Rolex and Patek Philippe. She later specialized in working with VIP clients across the globe, curating a concierge-style service that elevated the luxury retail experience through deep product expertise, emotional intelligence, and a highly personalized approach. Her passion for excellence in craftsmanship led her to the world of precious stones, where she became a certified gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Today, Ilaria is based in the Middle East, where she is leading Biver’s expansion into one of the most influential and rapidly growing markets in the world, building strong partnerships and cultivating a community of discerning collectors.

François brings a decade of high-level technical expertise to the brand. A graduate of the Haute École Arc Ingénierie in Le Locle, Switzerland, he holds a degree in microtechnology and watchmaking engineering, with a focus on complications and movement construction. Before joining Biver, he spent ten years at Concepto Watch Factory, where he developed over 30 unique calibers and contributed to several world records for prestigious brands such as Bvlgari, Breitling, Jacob & Co., and Louis Moinet. At Biver, François oversees the watchmaking and decoration workshops, ensuring every timepiece meets the highest standards. He plays a key role in the creation of in-house calibers and the technical advancement of the brand.

Manoël began his journey with a watchmaking apprenticeship at the watchmaking school of the Vallée de Joux, where he developed a strong foundation in technical precision and traditional expertise. His passion for art and design then led him to pursue studies in illustration, deepening his appreciation for exceptional objects and the subtle connection between craftsmanship and artistic expression. With a growing interest in management and strategy, he went on to earn a Master’s degree in Management from HEC Lausanne, specializing in data analysis. During his studies, he built strong skills in statistics and quantitative methods for decision-making, expertise he now applies to the business world. Joining Biver as one of its first team members, Manoël has been leading operations since the end of 2024. Thanks to his multidisciplinary background, he ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the company and actively contributes to executing its strategic vision, supporting the brand’s development through his broad set of skills.

Cindy Cart has spent over 20 years in the world of high-precision watchmaking, building a career that combines technical expertise with management skills. After starting out in watch decoration, she specialized in logistics within innovative movement manufacturers such as BNB and MHC. Now Head of Logistics, she oversees stock optimization and operational coordination with dedication and precision, always guided by values of kindness and teamwork. Driven by a constant desire to grow, she continues to expand her skill set through training in areas such as gemology and human resources management.
